The year is 2003 and humans own the world. Goblins have been driven to near extinction by centuries of warfare and extermination as "annoying" and "stabby" but now it's time. Dr Mipplok finished his time machine just in time for the bombing to start. You ran through the portal with nothing; he didn't make it with you. Neither did the machine. Your shotgun tumbled from the sky a few seconds later. Then the humans spotted you.
